From Jack
Why this beats another hoodie.
I'm 18, a full back, and I've had a lot of football presents. The ones I remember are the ones I used. Grip socks that got worn every session. Tape holding shin pads in place. Stuff that lived in my kit bag, not a drawer.
That's the whole idea of The Pro Box. Every item is picked for players aged 12 to 17, and it works the same for girls and boys, because the kit bag isn't different. No caffeine, no stimulants and nothing aimed at adults. I've written about why on the blog: no caffeine, ever, and why there's no protein powder either.
Still deciding what to get? I put together a player's guide to Christmas gifts for teenage footballers, box or no box.

Gift questions
Quick answers.
What should I buy a 13 year old who plays football?
Something that ends up in the kit bag. The Pro Box has grip socks, sports tape, a training journal, a 750ml bottle, a snack bar, electrolyte sachets, a massage ball and a kit bag, for £37.99 with UK delivery included.
Is The Pro Box suitable for a 12 year old?
Yes. It's made for players aged 12 to 17. The S/M grip socks fit UK 4 to 7. The only food and drink are a NUTRI-TEEN bar made for teenagers and caffeine-free electrolyte sachets. The bar contains milk, and the full ingredients are on the Pro Box page.
Is The Pro Box good for girls who play football?
Yes. Nothing in it is just for boys or just for girls. The grip socks come in S/M (UK 4 to 7) and L/XL (UK 8 to 12), so you pick the size that fits.
When does it arrive?
Order by 12 December. We pack every box by hand and post it by 16 December with Royal Mail Tracked 48, so it's in good time for Christmas. You get a tracking link.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes. Add a short gift note at checkout and we'll pop it in the box. Put the player's address as the delivery address if you want it to go straight to them.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery, then send it back within 14 days of telling us. Return postage is on you, and anything used more than you would in a shop, like worn socks, may mean money off the refund. If anything's faulty, damaged or missing, email info@matchdayclub.co.uk with your order email and photos of how the box arrived, and we'll replace or refund it. Full details are in the order terms.
Is it a monthly box?
No. The Pro Box is a one-off box. You pay £37.99 once, UK delivery included, and that's it.
Can I buy it if I'm not their parent?
Yes. Anyone can place the order. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian first.
