Hi, I'm Jack, a full back who's trialled at West Ham United, Southampton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Watford. I was always hunting for the gear, snacks and recovery tips that actually made a difference, but it was scattered everywhere and half of it wasn't made for players my age. So I started The Match Day Club: one box with the good stuff sorted for you. Made by a player, for players. Let's level up together.
The day we won the London Cup
I've written plenty about academy trials and the silence after them. This is the other side of football.
Summer 2023. Me and my PDA teammates, three days at Brunel University, six games in the U15s. It came down to penalties. We won 5-4 and I lifted the cup.
No scout decided that one. A group of lads got through three days together and found a way. That's the feeling I want every player who opens one of our boxes to chase. Getting better with your mates, and being ready when it counts.
Still learning
I still play for fun, with a new team in the evenings. This is my post-match interview from a recent game:
"A few good goals, can't complain. Just got to get used to the few silly mistakes. Didn't know the rules really well. Pass it back to the keeper, didn't know what to do, picked it up. Easy free kick."

Yes. The only food and drink in the box are a NUTRI-TEEN snack bar made for teenagers and electrolyte sachets. No caffeine, stimulants, or adult-style supplements. The bar contains milk and is made with gluten-free oats. Vidrate says its sachets have no known allergens and are gluten free. Full ingredients are on the Pro Box page and each pack, so check them against any allergies.
